Cafe' Bauld help and FAQ


Q. Can I get Cafe' Bauld on CD?

A. Cafe' Bauld is only available as an online download. 
 

Q. Will other applications read the Cafe' Bauld file format?

A. Yes, Torscape is working on a codec which will allow other 
    QuickTime-enabled applications to read the Cafe' Bauld file 
    format. In the meantime, save as one of the other formats if 
    you need another program to open your picture.

Q. I painted with the Contrast Brush and nothing happened.  
    Does this brush work?

A. Brushes with an asterisk (*) by the name are used to change 
    existing artwork.  They will usually not appear to have any effect 
    on white canvas, or images lacking specific qualities, depending 
    on the image and the tool.

Q. Is Cafe' Bauld Intel native?

A. No.  There is an Intel-native update currently in testing,
    however, which will be released soon.

Q. When will the Intel-native version of Cafe' Bauld be released?

A. When it is ready, a universal binary of Cafe' Bauld will be 
    released which will run natively on PowerPC and Intel.

Q. Do you have any plans to add feature x?

A. Probably.  Let us know about it and we may move it higher in 
    the list of features for future releases.

Q. When will Cafe' Bauld work on 10.5?

A. Cafe' Bauld has been tested and works on Mac OS X 10.5.  When 
    the final release of 10.5 is made, Torscape will release an 
    update for any new bugs which are introduced.   

Q. When I Open (Cmd-O) SGI files, nothing happens. Does Cafe' 
    Bauld support this format?

A. Cafe' Bauld Imports several formats.  You will need to open 
    these files with the Import menu command (Cmd-Shift-I).
